We are pleased to announce the second edition of Blockchain rules. The Fintech Handbook, edited by Prof. Christian Piska and our founding partner Dr. Oliver Völkel will be published again by MANZ Verlag in December 2023.
The new edition addresses all new developments since the publication of the first edition in 2019, including private, public, as well as regulatory law aspects of digital assets, virtual currencies and crypto assets, smart contracts, mining and operation of validators, tokenization, ICOs, STOs, basics of MiCA and the new Basel standard on crypto assets, as well as aspects of the GDPR and issues related to KYC & AML. In addition to public blockchains, the book covers the legal classification of private blockchains and, for the first time, legal issues regarding builder/proposer separation and MEV are discussed in detail. Contributions on German, Swiss and Liechtenstein law are also included again.
