New developments for the use of cookies! The CJEU continues with its strict jurisprudence on data protection law, with which the current cookie practice throughout the EU hardly seems compatible. Rather, active consent meeting the high standards of the General Data Protection Regulation shall be required. The most recent, controversial opinion of the CJEU: With regard to the consent requirement, it is irrelevant whether or not cookies process personal data.
