Stadler Völkel Attorneys at Law, renowned for its expertise with startups, FinTechs and e-commerce businesses, is expanding its practice and now offers comprehensive counsel and representation in antitrust, distribution and competition law.
“Antitrust can play a significant role in connection with blockchain technology and digital assets. We also recognize that SME clients can gain from competition law expertise, in particular regarding abuses of dominant positions”, said Oliver Völkel, founding partner of the firm.
“Particularly in the fields of FinTech, e-commerce and information technology, we strive to advise our clients comprehensively about potential risks, for example in distribution contracts. Establishing our new practice group for competition and antitrust law, a field with different facets for all kinds of distribution channels, is a valuable addition for our clients and our firm”, adds Arthur Stadler, founding partner of Stadler Völkel.
“With Florian Prischl, we have added an experienced attorney who fits into our team and will advise clients in antitrust and leniency matters in relation to potential abuses of a dominant position, or in merger control proceedings with expertise and focus on clients’ goals”, the two founding partners said.
Florian Prischl worked as an attorney and associate attorney with internationally oriented Austrian law firms and focused on competition law early in his career. He states: “I am excited to join the team of Stadler Völkel. I aim to offer targeted, precise, and first-rate advice in competition and antitrust law to our existing and new clients. Stadler Völkel offers its clients not just any easy fix, but the optimal legal and strategic solution in any situation. This client-centric approach makes Stadler Völkel stand out in the Austrian market. Now, we can offer this service also in the field of antitrust and competition law.”
Besides competition and antitrust law, Florian Prischl has gained experience particularly in IT and IP law, telecommunications law and distribution law. For over two years he has co-produced "In Eventu", a podcast that regularly explains and discusses a wide range of legal topics for laypersons and professionals.
