In May 2022, Oliver Völkel gave a lecture titled "Corporate financing in the digital age - from securitization to tokenization" at the 10th annual conference of the Austrian Association of Corporate Law (GVÖ). The conference proceedings have now been published. In his contribution, Oliver Völkel presents the ICO and STO wave from 2017 to 2020 and deals with Austrian securities law over the course of time. He argues that paper can be dispensed with as a publicity medium in securities law and that the blockchain-based tokens can be sufficient.The article is available electronically here.
